With Summer in full swing, the resort's pool area has been outfitted with hot tubs, firepits, 28 cabanas, and 350 lounge chairs, as well as two waterparks with slides and dunk buckets. Black Drum Brewing, sits perched overlooking the pool area and unobstructed views of the beach & ocean. The restaurant is a unique, loft-like urban space with floor-to-ceiling glass garage doors that open onto the restaurant's terrace. It's a space that invites you to savor a long, leisurely meal from the curated menu designed by Executive Chef Joseph Lilly. "It is such a unique place with absolutely outstanding oceanfront views and cool vibes of our fire pits at night – the perfect spot to enjoy the breeze and live music, with some great cocktails and food, of course." The menu, a testament to Carolina cuisine, showcases both North & South dishes with meticulous attention to detail, all crafted by an elevated and experienced chef who prides himself on locally sourced produce.

True to its namesake, Black Drum Brewing is a haven for craft beer enthusiasts. It features a diverse list of craft beers with 40 taps sourced from esteemed brewers based in North and South Carolina, including renowned names like Wicked Weed from Asheville, North Carolina, which brews Black Drum Brewing's signature Black Drum Daylight beer; Tidal Creek from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Two-Blokes from Charleston, South Carolina; and thirty-seven others. A flight of 6 tastings is the best way to explore the selections, and don't miss the opportunity to try the strawberry-lemonade blender from the innovative, Charlotte-based Hopfly Brewing. The culinary journey continues with the Carolina shrimp skewers, house-made bourbon pork belly and bourbon glaze. "Our BBQ is truly fantastic. The sleeper is our pork belly in our Bourbon Bacon Shrimp Skewers. It is our best-selling app and one of my favorites," says Lily. "People don't think it is BBQ, but it most certainly is. We take great care in making it perfect. It's a close tie with the Butcher Wife Salad with warm Grilled Salmon, topped off with our Georgia Sweet Onion Vinaigrette; it just really hits all high notes."

For a delightful surprise, the Honeysuckle Pizza, with a classic white sauce, provolone, mozzarella, smoked gouda, aged parmesan and truffle honey, might just be the best pizza you've tasted in years.
